Supporting your Church

St Peter’s has been part of the village community for over 700 years.  The Church has helped celebrate births and marriages and commemorated loved ones who are sadly no longer with us.

We can only continue our ministry if we are in turn supported.  We usually raise money from our annual fete, open gardens and other events which we have had to cancel.  The Church of England has produced a short video, please take a minute to watch it here

If you feel able to support your village church please read on.

Regular Donations via the Parish Giving Scheme

The easiest way to make regular donations is via the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS).  You can choose any amount and give monthly, quarterly or annually.  If you are a UK taxpayer and agree to Gift-Aid your donation then the church will receive an extra 25% courtesy of the tax man.

The PGS does not charge us for administering the scheme so the church receives the whole amount you give. PGS is a Direct-Debit system so donors are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee given by all banks and building societies. You can find out more about the PGS on their website here.

You can sign up to the PGS online .  Each church has been given a unique PGS Parish Code to make sure donations are sent to the correct church.  Please enter our code number 280628179 to find us.  If you would rather sign up by post, we have some printed PGS forms. Please ask our treasurer (phone 890120 or email treasurer@stpeterscogenhoe.org.uk)
